Martin Luther/Penguins

Well, January has already ended and we are into the busy month of February. In January, we celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day! The kids just loved learning about him and how he was such a good person and how he got the awful laws changed! We also talked about how everyone is unique, and that's ok, because that is what makes us special! We read, "The crayon box that talked" which is a great story that teaches that message and we put together a bulletin board with the other Kindergarten where we displayed our "unique" crayon selves!

In January we also started our unit on penguins which we just finished up this week! We started off with our big penguin schema chart. They surprised me with all the information they already knew! We did lots of other activities such as diagrams, labeling, bubble maps, reading books, art projects, math activities, and more!! The kids had a blast with it! Here are just a few of the things we did!
