Easter Eggs

Yesterday we had a blast decorating some Easter eggs to hang in the hall! We first drew our designs and the used a glue bottle to trace our designs to create barriers between our different sections. We didn't paint with regular paint, but we used Karo Syrup instead!! It was definitely sticky but it was so much fun! What a great sensory activity! Some students liked getting down and dirty more than others, but everyone enjoyed it! They turned out great in the end!

Junior Achievement

Well we just ended our 3 weeks of Junior Achievement. A huge thank you to Sara Dufner, who was our volunteer from the community. She came in 5 different days and did lessons with the kids about Social Studies topics! They had a blast!

Leprechaun Shenanigans!

Well St. Patrick's day has come and gone, but we had a little bit of mischief going on in our classroom last week as St. Patrick's day grew nearer. First, when we were out for lunch, we had all of our nametags got switched around! What a commotion to try to put them back with their right owners!! Then, while we were at recess, all of our pencils got tipped over!! This time there was a trail left in the form of green glitter!! We definitely think there was a leprechaun sneaking around in our room!

We made leprechaun wanted posters to hang in the hallway!! This way others could help us find those sneaky leprechauns!

We also talked about how lucky we are in our lives for all the good things we have. We chose our favorites to put on our rainbow hats!

Guinea Pigs

One of our little friends celebrated their birthday on Friday, and for her show-and-share, her mom brought in something extra special, Guinea Pigs!! She wanted to bring them in during letter "G" week, but we just couldn't make it work with our schedules, so this proved to be a perfect time! She keeps them in her preschool classroom, so they were very used to a lot of kids hovering around! The kids thought it was awesome and all got to come up and take a close look, even though we didn't get to touch them! :)

Dr. Seuss

The great Dr. Seuss' birthday was on March 2nd! We celebrated the whole week before by reading many of his books and doing lots of great reading and math activities! It was a super fun week!!

"Cat in the Hat"

"One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish"

"Green Eggs and Ham"

We measured with feet after reading "The Foot Book."

We also used our 5 senses to explore some Seuss Juice! We then got to enjoy a Seussy snack along with it!
